The general Contact form is not a marketing subscription. Contacting RaceForValue, requesting information or accessing a resource does not automatically enrol you in marketing communications. Where electronic marketing requires consent, RaceForValue will request it separately.
5. Who we share information with
Personal information may be processed by service providers acting for RaceForValue where this is necessary to operate the business and deliver the requested service. These may include website and hosting providers, Value Hub/CRM providers, business email and document services, analytics providers where enabled, payment or accounting services where relevant, and professional advisers.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, court order or a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
RaceForValue does not sell personal information to advertisers.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, RaceForValue uses an applicable lawful transfer mechanism or relies on another permitted basis. Information about relevant safeguards can be requested through the Contact form.
7. How long we keep information
RaceForValue keeps personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting or claims requirements. The following periods are the intended operational standard:
- General enquiries that do not become an engagement: normally up to 24 months after the last substantive contact.
- Client, contractual, project and financial records: normally up to 6 years after the end of the relevant engagement or financial period, unless a longer period is required for a particular legal, regulatory or claims reason.
- Value Hub account information: for the duration of the account and then in accordance with the relevant client/resource record retention period.
- GA4 analytics data: configure event-level retention to 14 months, subject to any shorter technical retention applied by the provider.
- Cookie/consent preference records: for the period required to remember and evidence the visitor’s current choice, with the preference periodically renewed.
Information may be deleted earlier where it is no longer required, or retained for longer where a legal hold, dispute or other lawful requirement applies.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to:
- ask for access to your personal information;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- ask for information to be erased in certain circumstances;
- ask for processing to be restricted in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.
These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions. RaceForValue may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Complaints
Please contact RaceForValue first if you have a concern about how your information has been handled. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
10. Changes to this notice
This notice will be reviewed when RaceForValue changes the way personal information is collected or used, introduces a material new website or Value Hub function, or where legal requirements change. The current version date will be shown on this page.
